Man is like an apple without a core-The apple being mans heart
 THE DEVIL SETS IN MANS HEART AS A WORM LYING INSIDE THE APPLE. The worm first eats the core of the apple and leaves its filth inside until the apple is useless. This is what the devil does to the heart of man. He destroys from within the will of man and all good desires, which is like the core where all the souls strength and all goodness resides and when the heart has been emptied of all good things, the devil leaves in their place, in mans heart, worldly thoughts and desires. The body is now driven by the devil to what pleases him, and for this reason mans strength and understanding is diminished. Thus man is an apple without a core.A man without a heart, all things he does, he does without a heart, for man now has no love for God. But praise and glory be to God, for as long as the soul remains united to the body, Gods mercy will stand ready for him. therefore repent and humble youselves before God while his mercy can be found.
