A remarkable crowd of 700-1,000 women gather every month for a prayer service at Abundant Life Church/Iglesia Vida Abundante located on the Southside of San Antonio.

Abundant Life/Vida Abundante may not be your typical program driven church, but they are certainly a soul winning church that is all about bringing the non believer to encounter the Cross so that they can experience complete freedom in Christ.

But where does it really begin? It begins with prayer! In fact, it's all about prayer.  The bible is full of passages that promise life changing power for people who pray. God's power for change is unleashed when multiple people pray for a common purpose.  In Matthew 18:19 it says, "Where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them."

So, who exactly are these women that are passionate about God and passionate about winning souls? They are women that they themselves have been delivered, set free and that are now living in victory.  At each prayer service, everyone is challenged to bring a non believer friend to the prayer service.  Amazingly, there are a large number of first time decisions at each prayer service.  I believe that God gives each church and/or ministry diverse strategies in how to reach the lost.  For Abundant Life Church/Iglesia Vida Abundante, one of the key strategy is prayer.  Sometimes churches and/or ministries may find themselves stretching, straining, pushing and pulling rather than praying. It seems they would rather do anything than pray. So, if you're out for change, I encourage you to make this change before all others--prayer before action, prayer throughout action, and prayer beyond action.
